Since 1981 the proper care of trees and shrubs has been a large part of our landscape business. We are passionate about Nature and the proper use, placement and care of her wonderfully diverse array of beautiful trees and shrubs.  Whether it's shade trees, ornamental trees, large shrubs, small shrubs, perennials, or annual flowers, we will help you select the right plant for the right place, taking into consideration your soil, sunlight, drainage conditions and even deer resistant shrubs and plant material.  At Keep It Green Landscaping we can make recommendations to add value to your residential or commercial property, by installing nature's best trees, shrubs, and flowers to present your landscape beautifully.  Please remember at Keep It Green Landscaping we are a full service landscape contractor and can handle all of your lawn and landscaping needs. This includes seasonal shrub pruning, beginning with dormant pruning in the winter. Then maintenance pruning through the spring and summer growing season, and any fall pruning needed before the winter.

Tree Care and Shrub Care Testimonials

Dyle has done three projects for me over the past 5 years, and I have been happy with all of his work. He cut and stacked firewood from a fallen tree. He also removed an in-ground root from a large fallen tree. Neither of these jobs were of the type other vendors wanted to perform as part of tree removal. Finally, he recently removed 1.5 dozen arborvitaes, ground stumps and he replanted new ones plus spread new topsoil. His price is most competitive, and he is diligent in his work.

Enclosed please find my check for the payment for pruning my Japanese Maple tree. This is the fourth time over the many years that you have been providing my tree pruning and I want to say thank you so much. I am always satisfied with the pruning of the tree and also how well you clean up before you leave. Very truly yours,
— Mrs. D., Rutherford, NJ 07070

Tree and Shrub Care-Pruning Tip
1. Do not allow your shrubs to become overgrown. Regular shrub pruning maintenance is far less stressful, to the shrub, and will also be more cost effective.
2. Most evergreens are best pruned during the winter, when the tree or shrub is dormant. This will help prevent the sap from bleeding, as the tree/shrub is under less pressure during the winter time.
3. Flowering evergreens should not be pruned until at least 30 days after the completion of flowering, ie. rhododendrons.
